As a result of low attendance, The Hot Springs Theatre has changed its operating hours and is open Friday and Saturday evenings only until further notice. The box office opens at 6:30 p.m and concessions at 6:00 p.m., so you can pick up treats for take home. Come to door and let us know if you want curbside deliver. We appreciate your patience and understanding during these unusual times.
We are always excited to tell you WHICH MOVIES ARE COMING NEXT! Check in here for the latest news. You can also find Coming Attractions on our Facebook page. The Hot Springs SD Chamber of Commerce Springtides email and the Fall River County Herald Star also print the movie showing on the current weekend.
As always, concessions are available to non-ticket holders and we open at 6:00 to give you the opportunity to grab your goodies on your way home. You can find a full list of admission and concession prices here and by clicking on our Facebook cover page.
Although new movies are not available, we continue to show some of the best movies from years past, timeless classics meant to be scene on big screens. We invite you discover the difference in a film when experienced on the sort of screen for which it was filmed!
Dear Hot Springs Movie (and Popcorn) lovers,
FIRST RUN MOVIES ARE BACK!!!
Thank you for supporting your hometown theatre in these strange times. Whether you came to see the classic movies, or bought treats at the concession stands, your participation has meant the world to us. We know you love the theatre, and we love the way the community has embraced movies on the big screen in Hot Springs.
We are delighted to be showing first run films again, although we are still only showing movies on Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:00. No matinees or Sunday movies until further notice.
We want to remind you that concessions are always available when we are open, whether you buy a ticket or not. We open the concession stand at 6:00 until 30 minutes before the movie is over. For distancing concerns, you may come in (we limit the number of people in the lobby at one time) and order or you may come to the door, request curbside service, and go back to your car to wait for us to prepare and deliver your order. You may also bring your own covered container, which further limits physical contact and makes it so much easier to bring your popcorn home! (We will pour your popcorn from the regular container into your personal container.)
We understand that many of you are not ready to return to social outings. We are requiring wide social distancing and our customers comply without complaint. Since our auditorium is huge, we have no worries about finding everyone a safely distanced seat.
Again, we are grateful for your support and cooperation as we gradually return to business as usual.
Sincerely,
The Staff and Management at the Hot Springs Theatre
The historic Hot Springs Theatre re-opened on April 7, 2017, with showings every weekend on Friday, Saturday & Sunday evenings at 7:00 and on Saturday & Sunday at 2:00.
We are a cash-only establishment.
The employees of the City of Hot Springs wanted to do something special for the Hot Springs Theatre. On personal time, they recreated this Santa display, relying for inspiration on photos of the original.
